Mid West India Region of Y’s Men International
comes under the India Area. At present India Area have five regions.

Formation
of India Region
India Sri Lanka Region was bifurcated into two
separate regions, under Asia area, on 1-7-1974. The late Justice
M.U. Isaac was the first regional director of India Region. India
Region at Madras hosted the seventh Asia Area convention in October
1977.
At the Regional Convection held at Kottayam in
June 1980, it was decided to trifurcate the India Region as West
India Region, South India Region and Central India Region, all under
Asia Area. West India region was consisting of 60 Clubs from Kerala.
South India Region was consisting of 25 Clubs from Tamilnadu & Karnataka
and Central India of 8 Clubs of Andhra Pradesh & North India.

Asia Area Council meeting in Sri Lanka in 1981
recommended to the International the formation of India Area. Considering
the size, language and cultural differences in the Asia Area, International
decided for the creation of India Area and was formally inaugurated
at the Asian Area convection held at Taipei in 1983. Ym Dr. P.Sukumaran
was installed as the Ist India area President and Justice Subramaian
Potti as the International Council member.

West India Region, originally comprising of 60
clubs from Kerala, was again trifurcated in 1987 at the combined
convection of all three Regions of India Area, there by forming
Five Regions in India Area, they are:
